For an amateur author 70,000+ words to edit is a big task. It is only my second novel and larger than the first. Time management doesn’t seem to be on my side, since life lacks a pause button. I’ve been able to edit over 20,000 words to date. My first novel hit 50,500 words and had help with a paid editor. Not the case this time. Having as many words left to edit as my first novel is long shouldn’t take much to look over as long as my work schedule doesn’t conflict with my family or the paying job I have – and not forgetting to slip sleep in there when needed. Just remember, I’m working diligently to have this sequel out soon.
